International Harpsichordist Nathaniel Mander will present a programme of 18th century music inspired by the beauty and delights of nature.
During the 18th century composers often turned to the natural world for their inspiration. Harpsichordists in particular enjoyed creating pieces which imitated the innocent beauty of birdsong or the perfection of a flower in bloom. In this recital Nathaniel will present an array of repertoire showing how the many colours of flora and fauna were translated onto the instrument. He will perform music by Bach, Couperin, Boismortier and Francaix amoungst others.
