A Due Cembali Obligati

  • Museum of Instruments, Royal College of Music Prince Consort Road London, SW7 2BH United Kingdom (map)

Nathaniel Mander and Thomas Allery present a virtuosic programme of newly made arrangements of organ works for two harpsichords. The orchestral richness created by combining two instruments stands up to the grandeur that these great organ works demand. The programme ends with the brilliant and well known concerto in C major by Bach in it’s original version for harpsichords alone.

Blow - Ground

Buxtehude - Chaconne in E minor

J.S Bach - Prelude and Fugue in G major BWV 541

Concerto for two harpsichords in C major BWV 1061
